To Recap What We Know
If you have gone through the video series then you are now aware that although evolutionary science tells us that the planet evolved, that life evolved, that language evolved, it never explains how.

That’s left up to you.

It’s your imagination that is required to fill in the blanks.

Only the board strokes of the evolutionary picture are presented, the rest is a blurry haze of assumptions spoken of as though they were fact.

The common person just assumes that all the details have been worked out in the laboratory and if science is able to put a man on the moon then science must be able to tell how the universe and life came into being.

And who am I to say any different?

The simple fact is that evolutionary science cannot explain these things because it refuses to allow itself to do so.

It refuses to allow any evidence to take it down a path that may have anything to do with religion because it sees all religion as fanciful philosophy.

But it is blind to the fact that it is itself a philosophical belief system.

Sadly, generations have been brought up to see the Bible as just a book of teachings that generally deal with abstract and old fashioned concepts like behavior and morality, but don’t see connected to physical reality.

The Bible is more than just a book about the 10 Commandments, it is the truth about our very existence.

It is the truth about God’s existence.

It reveals why we are who we are.

It is a book the reveals the major events of human history, and all of this is foundational to its focus – its message of Salvation.

The scientific evidence supports what the Old Testament in the Bible says about creation, the flood, and God.

It has shown itself to be the most reliable source of information on the planet regarding the truth of our existence.

The Old Testament also foretells the arrival of a king who would reign forever and the proof of that would be the fulfillment of specific prophecies throughout His life.

Jesus Christ is the only one in all of history who has done this.

The Gospel Message
Let me begin by asking you 2 questions.

Have you ever said something that wasn't true?

Have you ever taken something that wasn't yours to take?

I’m sure most of us have! But just because it's common doesn't make it acceptable.

In fact that's 2 of God's Commandments that have been broken, and this is what is called “sin.”

"Sin" is not just what we do, "sinful" is what we basically are because of the fall of Adam.

The problem of the sinfulness of humanity is that it is in direct opposition to the Holiness of God.

His Righteous Holiness demands justice, and that justice is eternal imprisonment in hell.

But the LOVE of God declares that only one has to die as a perfect sacrifice for all.

And so He sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross in your place.

All you have to do to be reconciled to God and to receive complete forgiveness for everything you've done wrong is to accept the sacrifice that He has made, and to turn away from a life of sin and follow Him.

The truth is this: either you choose to allow Jesus to pay the price or you choose to pay it yourself.

1. The Problem
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

If we judge ourselves by those around us then we may appear to be ok, but God judges according to His own Holiness.

And if you answered ‘yes’ to the previous 2 questions then you are by your own admission a liar and a thief.

"For the wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23)

This is not just physical death but spiritual death which results in eternal separation from God and confinement in hell.

2. The Solution
"...but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus." (Romans 6:23)

The good news is that God loves us and has not left us to this fate.

Jesus came to earth to die on the cross instead of us; to be our substitute now and forever.

3. The Prayer
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
(Romans 10:9)

Dear God, I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life.

Please forgive me.

I now turn from everything that I know to be sin.

Thank You that Jesus died on the cross for me and rose again so that I could be forgiven and set free.

I thank You for Your forgiveness and I now receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

Congratulations, you are now a follower of Jesus Christ and “Born-Again.”

4. The Next Step
So what does being “Born-Again” mean?

The term “Born-Again” is taken from the words Jesus said to a Jewish leader named Nicodemus.

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born-again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:3-8)

Jesus was indicating the type of change it required to enter into the Kingdom of God.

It is a complete recreation of our human spirit that only the Holy Spirit can perform.

A recreated spirit is justified by the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross and bears no guilt.

This change is not of our own doing and is not something we cannot manufacture ourselves, it is a gift of God.

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8:1-2)

No matter what we have done in our past, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ is more powerful and more able to cleanse us from it. The old life that we knew is done away with and is not held against us.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (Corinthians 5:17)

I encourage you to tell someone about the decision you have made.

It is really only when we take a stand and declare to others what has happened to us that we really allow room for the reality of it in our lives.

Often we just need to hear ourselves say it.

“Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 10:32-33)

Jesus draws a line in the sand and calls us to cross over; to stand and be counted.
